Connect Waikato is about people
Free networking events that bring Hamilton and Waikato business people together to talk, connect and grow.
Why we started
Technology is changing how we work faster than ever, and it’s easy to lose sight of the people behind the businesses. Connect Waikato started in 2026 with a simple idea: put people at the centre.
Each event brings Waikato business owners, innovators, educators and community voices into one room to hear from people doing interesting things, swap ideas, and make the kind of genuine connections that don’t happen over email. Our first evening, Human Connection in an AI World, was held at Park Central in July 2026.
Who’s behind it
Connect Waikato was founded by Nick Foley, Co-Founder of Longcloud, a Hamilton-based AI studio. Longcloud is Connect Waikato’s Principal Partner and built this website.
Our events are made possible by local businesses who back the idea. You can see the partners from our first event on the Past events page.
